To submit your comments on the Pre-Submission Local Plan 2041, residents need follow the information on North Somerset Council’s online consultation system.

On this page, there are two ways to submit your comments, either Online via the blue labelled link, or by email or post, using the templates provided.

Before you begin you must register on the consultation system if you have not done so previously. This only takes a few minutes
Registration will require your email address, a password, a display name, and your full name
This is required so that the independent planning inspector can see who has responded and what issues have been raised.
How the Online Consultation Works
The consultation document is divided into sections that match the structure of the Local Plan.
Useful things to know:
- You do not have to respond to every page in the Plan. You can select the ones that matter to you.
- You do not need to complete the process in one sitting.
- Your comments are saved automatically.
- You can log in and update or amend your comments at any time until the consultation closes at 5 pm on 12 December 2025.
At the end of the questionnaire, you will have the option to download a PDF of your answers.
How to View Your Responses
At any time, you can return to the consultation homepage and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see a link to My Responses, where you can view or edit everything you have submitted.
